I love, love, love my job. People say to me, “you're near retirement, why don’t you quit and get a part time job?” I have a great job that some would say I already work part time, but I have been trained to do what I do, so it just makes it look easy. There are days when it gets a little crazy, but there is always someone to help you. Maybe I will Retire later! Right now, I don’t know where I could work and they would pay me extra to work my schedule and be on time. And there are lots of perks! RETIRE? I am hoping they will let me work part time if that day ever comes.

I have been working with ATEX for 15 years, 7 months now! What I’ve enjoyed is learning new jobs and the challenge that it has brought to me. I’ve always wanted to be in the medical field helping others. Here I can do just that by helping make the medical products that the doctors need to use in life saving procedures. When I am weaving, I am striving to perform 100% quality for those who will be using our products. It makes me feel like I’ve been part of that individuals healing process. The pay is good, and the people are friendly!

Love working at ATEX because it is very clean and sterile. The people are wonderful to work with. I look at ATEX as a family because we all know that the work we do is going to help others. The front office staff and supervisors work with you when you need to take time off. They will let you make up your time if you let them know ahead of time. I love the 5-day work week with no weekend work. I have never had a job where everyone gets along with each other and there is no feuding about things. If you are looking for a wonderful environment and job stability, you need to work for ATEX.

I feel like I am a part of something very special at ATEX. Being an employee here feeds my sense of pride. I do work that helps save other people’s lives every day. I have been employed at ATEX for over 16 years, starting in fabrication then moving to R&D and eventually to the Yarn Development Coordinator position. ATEX has always supported me… from learning experiences to tuition reimbursement. I was always encouraged to do better by management and that effect trickles down to employees whom I have helped.

One thing I enjoy about ATEX is the variety of processes and products I am able to work with on a daily basis. At ATEX you get a lot of exposure to different types of textiles such as knits, woven and braids. As a quality engineer, I get to see how these products are made and tested. It’s a unique experience to be exposed to such a diverse mix of products.
